Definition: What's a client newsletter?

Here are the best directories of both print and electronic newsletters (also called e-zines):

INT Media Group (internet.com) (free)
List of several dozen opt-in e-newsletters about business management, marketing, e-business, IT, Internet tech, Web development, business finance, etc. Strict privacy-protection and anti-spam policies.

ListChannel.com  (free)
A directory of email publications listed alphabetically and by category with ratings, reviews, and advanced search capabilities. Users can save favorite articles with the "My Channel" function, and choose to receive updates to the directory by email.

List City (free)
In addition to a directory of e-zines, this site has other resources -- including an advertising exchange directory -- for "the e-zine community." Recently acquired from Advertising.com by J.I.W. Dotcom.

Newsletter Access Directory (free)
Lists 6,700 newsletters (free and commercial) in 16 categories and numerous sub-categories. Derived from Hudson’s newsletter directory.

Newsletter-directory (free)
Lists more than 1,600 e-zines in 13 categories, including business & finance, computers & Internet, news & media, etc.

Newsletters in Print
Published by Gale Research, this 1,300-page directory ($300) features both commercial and non-commercial newsletters.

Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters (2002 edition)
Includes 14,000 newsletters and loose-leaf publications. Prices: $845 in print; $995 for single-user CD-ROM; $1,495 for both print and CD-ROM.

PubList (free)
A directory of 150,000 online newsletters, magazines, journals, and monographs. It's searchable by title and subject.

DEFINITION: A client newsletter is one that you distribute free, primarily to clients, prospective clients, referral sources, and other stakeholders of your firm. Its objective is to be informative, to demonstrate your expertise, and to promote your services, rather than to earn a profit.
