Dave Freedman
began his career in journalism; worked the public relations field; and
since 1999 has developed websites and rich Web content for professional
advisers, small businesses, and artists.
Journalism
Dave served on the editorial staffs of consumer,
business, professional, and trade periodicals. He specialized in the
fields of
business (particularly finance, marketing, and HR),
law, technology, real estate, personal finance, economics, consumerism, home
improvement, and
woodworking. He has won awards for outstanding legal journalism,
magazine feature writing, financial magazine editing, and newsletter
writing.
Public relations
Dave has helped legal and financial advisers get
interviewed, quoted, and featured in the media, including print,
broadcast, and online media. (See
client list.) He has helped dozens of professionals write bylined feature
articles and place them in print and electronic publications. He won a
Your Honor Award from the Legal Marketing Association (LMA)
for public relations.

Websites, blogs, and rich website content
Since 1999, Dave has collaborated with designers and digital media
producers to develop websites for small businesses and professional firms;
and has created
award-winning,
journalism-level content for existing firm websites. He has spoken at
conferences on Internet public relations strategies and techniques,
and has written articles on social media optimization (SMO).
Dave has used HTML development programs such as Dreamweaver and ExpressionWeb, and content management systems such as
WordPress and TypePad. He also collaborates with developers who use Drupal and Joomla! CMS.
Dave builds blogs using the WordPress platform,

Author
Dave is the author of two successful, non-fiction books:
Death of an American
(Continuum,
NY, 1983), based on the $100 million Singer vs. Wadman
civil rights lawsuit filed in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1979.
Box-Making Basics, a woodworking book (Taunton Press, Newtown,
CT, 1997) which has sold over 66,000 copies.
Workshops
Dave has served on the faculty of non-fiction writing workshops,
including the SEAK
workshop for lawyers.
